Hotel operators in US West able to raise rates, but struggle to increase occupancy

Las Vegas, San Diego, Orange County post largest hotel rate gains

The eight western markets that rank among the 25 largest hotel markets in the U.S. have been able to increase rates consistently, but occupancy is lagging in all eight markets. The occupancy lag results primarily from the lower demand recovery for room accommodations together with the number of hotel rooms added to these markets since 2019.
