UK Hotel Market Video: Performance update plus a look at forward demand trends

Another week across the UK saw little movement in the occupancy, average rate, or RevPAR data. More interesting is STR’s Forward STAR data, which tracks forward occupancy. For the first time in many months, week-on-week pick-up was positive for short-term bookings. This is likely to be a result of the government’s announcement that hotels can re-open their doors on Saturday 4^th July. Despite this positive development, business on the books still remains very low.
