European private equity real estate firm Orion Capital Managers has named Andrea Goss as director in its investor relations team.

Goss will cover servicing the firm’s existing client base, assist in the fundraising for Orion’s sixth pan-European fund, as well as executing co-investment and other initiatives, the group said.

The company, which has offices in London, Madrid, Milan and Paris, is fundraising for Orion European Real Estate Fund VI after its prior pan-European vehicle Orion Fund V closed at €1.5 billion (£1.3 billion).

"Goss’ hire will help lead Orion’s capital raising as the current higher interest rate environment creates increased value-add and opportunistic investment opportunities, in which Orion has extensive experience over multiple market cycles," the company added.

The recruit brings more than 20 years’ experience in raising capital and providing corporate finance advice to institutional clients,15 years of which was spent at Eastdil Secured in New York and London.

During her tenure there, Goss worked with institutional investors, facilitating investments into various vehicles including commingled funds, joint ventures, direct asset sales, and structured transactions.

Most recently, she spent two years at Abrdn’s London office, where she was an investment director, responsible for diversifying the firm’s product line through joint ventures and club deals with an emphasis on the living sector. Goss started her real estate career in investment banking at RBC Capital Markets.

Van Stults, partner at Orion Capital Managers, said in a statement: "We’re excited to have Andrea join Orion as we capitalize on the compelling opportunities presented in the current market cycle. Her experience in both commercial real estate transactions and capital markets means she is uniquely well-equipped to communicate Orion’s investment thesis to investors around the globe."

Earlier this year it secured London’s biggest office tenant in six years after HSBC signed a lease on its Panorama offices near St Paul's, luring the bank from Canary Wharf where it had been for more than two decades.
