JP Morgan, AmREIT Fund Buy Houston-Area Retail Complex

Partnership Sells 616,400-SF Shadow Creek Ranch Town Center

A joint venture between JP Morgan Strategic Property Fund and an AmREIT fund acquired Shadow Creek Ranch Town Center, a 616,372-square-foot community center in Pearland, TX. Although the purchase price was undisclosed, the center was listed for $115 million, or about $186.50 per square foot. Shadow Creek Retail LP, a joint venture of Transwestern Houston, Buchanan Street Partners and Fox Properties, was the selling entity.
