Aircraft manufacturer De Havilland has announced a massive investment in the Calgary area this week, adding to its existing operations in Alberta at Calgary International Airport. The company has selected 1,500 acres of land in Wheatland County, between the Calgary city limits and the community of Strathmore, just south of Highway 1, where it is expected to create 1,500 jobs and move its head office operations from Toronto in the future. The company is expected to begin the rezoning process soon, including substantial public engagement.
