CBRE invests in New York finance service team

CBRE hired 25-year industry veteran Drew Anderman as a vice chairman in New York City, as it seeks to expand its services in U.S. debt and structured finance, the real estate services firm said. Anderman joined CBRE from Meridian Capital Group, where he led brokerage teams for the past 11 years.

Anderman also previously held leadership positions at financial service firms including Nomura, Deutsche Bank, CIBC and Credit Suisse. He has closed deals totaling more than $90 billion in his career, including financings involving several high-profile Manhattan properties.

Anderman assembled the $1.2 billion construction loan for Eleventh, the residential tower now known as XI on Manhattan’s West Side. He arranged joint venture equity to acquire the air rights above Grand Central Station, a portion of which was subsequently sold to JP Morgan for its new headquarters on Park Avenue.

Cushman looks to grow Nashville office agency leasing

Cushman & Wakefield hired Sarah Pettigrew as executive director in the firm’s office in Nashville, Tennessee. She will lead the real estate services firm's office agency leasing team that focuses on advising landlord clients in the market, Cushman said.

Pettigrew has 18 years of industry experience representing tenants and landlords, previously serving as managing director in JLL’s Nashville office. At JLL she primarily focused on agency leasing. Cushman & Wakefield said its Nashville regional office now has more than 240 team members serving Middle Tennessee and surrounding areas.

JLL expands Southern California capital markets advisory

JLL appointed Matt Stewart as senior managing director and co-head of its capital market operations in Irvine, California. Stewart will co-lead investment sales, debt and equity advisory services with senior managing director Greg Brown in the company’s Orange County office, the real estate services firm said.

Stewart is a 12-year industry veteran who began his career with financial services firm HFF in 2013, before it was acquired by JLL. He most recently served as a managing director with JLL, originating and executing debt and equity advisory assignments for clients nationwide. He is a former captain in the U.S. Air Force, where he served as a launch systems integration program manager.

KKR taps former Morgan Stanley executive as adviser

Guy Metcalfe (KKR)

Global investment firm KKR appointed Guy Metcalfe as senior adviser to its global real estate investment team, the New York-based company said. Metcalfe previously served as managing director at Morgan Stanley and led its real estate investment banking business for more than two decades before retiring as global chairman in 2024.

The 30-year industry veteran has been involved in more than $850 billion in transactions across multiple geographies, including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and private capital raises. Metcalfe also serves on the boards of commercial real estate giants CBRE and Prologis. He previously worked on big commercial property sales including Blackstone’s $39 billion purchase of Sam Zell’s Equity Office Properties in 2007.

Dune promotes four to lead investment operations

Dune Real Estate Partners promoted four executives as it looks to expand its national property investments, the New York-based company said.

Kaitlin Siehs was promoted from vice president to director of treasury and operations on the finance and accounting team. Siehs joined Dune in 2011 and is primarily responsible for oversight of the company’s treasury, cash management and related performance reporting.

The company promoted Alla Chertkova from fund controller to vice president on the finance and accounting team. Jack Foley and Adam Mengden were each promoted from associate to vice president on the investment team. Dune invests on behalf of high-net-worth individuals, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments and other large institutions.
