The IKEA store is planned to open in 2011 and will be the retailer's second Boston-area store and 38th in the U.S. 1,350 parking spaces will be constructed on two levels. The development of Assembly on the Mystic is planned to be built over the next ten to fifteen years. The first phase of development includes the IKEA, Assembly Square Drive, an unidentified restaurant and a riverfront park.
