CTP, one of Europe’s largest listed industrial property developer, owner and managers, has recruited Karel Stransky as its group business development director.
Stransky brings extensive global advisory experience across the industrial and real estate sector, according to the firm, which added that he will help to drive its business growth ambitions.
Working alongside CTP CEO Remon Vos, Stransky will "oversee, support and add further structure" to the firm's business development teams in several countries.
Stransky has advised on transactions of over 3.5 million square metres (circa 38 million square feet) of office, production and logistics space over his 35-year real estate career, including leases, land and building acquisitions, sales and leasebacks.
He has worked globally, with various roles taking him to Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, as well as North and Latin America and China. Stransky began his career in urban and environmental planning and construction, before moving to Colliers.
There he headed up the company’s corporate industrial advisory hub, responsible for the group’s industrial and logistics real estate activities. This saw him take part in consulting, lease and freehold acquisition, portfolio management and building disposal.
CTP added that its recruit has a strong track record of adding value to major industrial and logistics operators across the globe through "optimising cost and driving revenues, while maximising sustainability, facilitating operational efficiency and carefully managing risk".
Vos said in a statement: "I first met Karel in 1998 when he helped shape our first project, CTPark Humpolec. Since then, I have had the pleasure of working with Karel on many deals. Besides business, we also share passions for biking and travel. Karel brings a great deal of experience and seniority to our team.
