This roundup features the latest hotel deals and developments in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Royal St. Honoré

Archer Hotel Capital, a joint venture of Dutch pension fund APG Asset Management and Singaporean sovereign wealth fund GIC, has acquired the 68-room Royal St. Honoré in Paris for 87 million euros ($90.3 million). The hotel is adjacent to another hotel owned by Archer, the 97-room Renaissance Paris Vendome Hotel.

Cloud One New York-Downtown

Munich-based hotel chain Motel One, which has 85 hotels and 24,264 rooms, is set to open its first hotel outside of Europe with the 326-room Cloud One New York-Downtown in New York City. The hotel will also be the first in a new brand, Cloud One Hotels.

Steinberger Hotel Doha

Deutsche Hospitality opened the 278-room Steinberger Hotel Doha in the Qatari capital on Nov. 17, one day before the start of the FIFA World Cup finals.

Quality Hotel Vienna

Choice Hotels and owner RIMC Hotels & Resorts Group have signed a 20-year franchise deal for the 118-room Quality Hotel Vienna, close to the city’s Schönbrunn Palace and currently undergoing renovation. Choice also has announced it intends to launch its Sleep Inn brand in the region, although no specific hotel announcement has been made.

Motto by Hilton Glasgow

Hilton is set to launch its Motto by Hilton brand in the U.K. with the 186-room Motto by Hilton Glasgow, set to open on a bank of the River Clyde in the third quarter of 2024.

Lamantin Beach Resort & Spa

Accor has signed a management agreement with Johannesburg-based Kasada Capital Management to operate the 166-room Lamantin Beach Resort & Spa in Saly, 50 miles south of Senegalese capital Dakar. It is the fourth property in the country owned by Kasada.

Mercure Dumfries Cargenholm House

White-label management firm Splendid Hospitality and Accor are set to open in December the 61-room Mercure Dumfries Cargenholm House in Dumfries, Scotland. The property's two buildings comprise the former home of polar explorer Archibald McMurdo.

Hilton London T5 Hotel, Heathrow Airport

Aimbridge EMEA has been announced as the management firm for the 350-bed Hilton London T5 Hotel, Heathrow Airport, at the United Kingdom’s busiest airport.

Mercure Hotel Berlin Mitte

German owner Primestar Hotels has acquired the 120-room Mercure Hotel Berlin Mitte, which is its first franchise deal with Accor.

Innside Noto and Innside Cala Rossa

Meliá Hotels International will open two hotels in Sicily under its Innside brand — the 146-room Innside Noto and 115-room Innside Cala Rossa, both to open in 2024.

Ruby Edinburgh

The seven-floor, 300-room Ruby Edinburgh, on the Scottish capital’s main thoroughfare, Princes Street, is scheduled to open by the end of 2025. It will be the Scottish debut of Germany’s Ruby Group.

Wordsworth Hotel

The Inn Collection acquired the 38-room Wordsworth Hotel in England’s Lake District National Park for an undisclosed sum from the Robert Parker Hotel Collection.

Bristoria Hotel Erbil

Kempinski Hotels opened the Bristoria Hotel Erbil in the autonomous Kurdistan region of Iraq. The hotel has 118 rooms.

Doubletree by Hilton, Dartford Bridge

Klarent Hospitality has completed a year-long renovation to the Doubletree by Hilton, Dartford Bridge, in Dartford, England, right on the edge of Greater London. The hotel now has 185 rooms, up from 179.
