The International House of Pancakes has decided to relocate its Glendale, CA headquarters from 525 North Brand Blvd. to the Class-A office building at 450 North Brand Blvd. IHOP's new headquarters will be located on the 3rd, 4th, and 7th floors for a combined total of 71,214 square feet of office space. The 10-year lease is worth approximately $18 million. Julien J. Studley Inc.s executive vice president Stephen Walbridge and corporate managing director in Los Angeles, Stephen Barker represented the tenant. Landlord Dorn-Platz & Co. was represented in house by Wayne Haight and Greg Galletly. Barker commented on the deal: "IHOP has been bursting at the seams in it current 15,000-square-foot location at 525 North Brand. The new headquarters will accommodate its immediate expansion needs and provide for future growth, while keeping the company close to its employee base." By: Maribeth Mann (3/27/2000)
