Circle City ABA of Nebraska, LLC, an affiliate of Lighthouse Autism Center, is converting an office building into a day center for children with autism after leasing this 6,000-square-foot, free-standing building in south Lincoln. This will be the first location in Lincoln for Circle City ABA of Nebraska, which has two locations in Omaha and also in other states.

Headquartered in Mishawaka, Indiana, Lighthouse is a leading provider of center-based, Applied Behavior Analysis or ABA therapy, and operates as the largest ABA services provider in Indiana with a network of locations across Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Iowa and now Nebraska. The Lincoln center is slated to open in the summer of 2024 and will provide autism services to 30 families and create over 45 new jobs in the area.

For its overall impact on the community, the lease was recognized as the lease of the year in Lincoln as part of the CoStar Impact Awards, which were judged by real estate professionals familiar with the market.

About the Project: Circle City ABA seeks to provide autism therapy in a natural, play-based environment. Children are immersed in imaginary spaces where they can naturally explore their interests, engage in sensory experiences and practice language. At the new center in Lincoln, children will have the opportunity to benefit from this firm's Lighthouse Fusion treatment , which it describes as an innovative and one-of-a-kind approach to speech therapy that provides children with greater opportunity for speech development. By Fusing speech therapy directly into a child’s daily programming, learners are making greater progress, faster, all while having fun.

What the Judges Said: "This lease provides space for a facility that is desperately needed in the community and allows services for people who need them most. It is clearly impactful and benefits often overlooked groups," said James McCombs, a sales and leasing agent at Guiderock Commercial Realty.
