Wolfspeed in line to receive $1.5 billion through CHIPS Act, private group for US expansion

The U.S. Department of Commerce and an investment group led by Apollo Global Management have proposed providing Wolfspeed up to $1.5 billion as part of a push by the U.S. government to help fund semiconductor manufacturing domestically.
