Increasing international migration helps fuel Nashville’s population growth

Moves from other countries have grown annually over the past five years

The 2024 Census data has been released and, a surprise to no one, the Nashville, Tennessee, market continues to grow. In fact, it’s growing much faster than the country overall. In its latest data release, the U.S. Census Bureau estimates that the Nashville metropolitan area has grown 6.4%, or 136,000 new residents, from 2020 to 2024 while the U.S. overall is estimated to have grown by 3%.
