The growth in demand for outsourced customer service for bridging transalation and communication gaps led to a major new lease signing in El Paso, Texas.
TransPerfect Connect, a provider of language translation and technology solutions for global businesses, signed a 44,125-square-foot lease in El Paso last year, helping the company expand its presence in Texas and establish the Lone Star State as one of its primary hubs.
The El Paso office, located at 1015 Belvidere St., is TransPerfect Connect’s third overall support hub. More than 400 agents are expected to work out of the El Paso office. TransPerfect Connect, which focuses on translation services, was attracted to El Paso because of its educated and bilingual workforce. El Paso is part of the Borderplex region that also includes Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, and Las Cruces, New Mexico.
The project's immediate job creation earned it a 2023 CoStar Impact Award, as judged by real estate professionals familiar with the market.

What the Judges Said: “[This earns lease of the year] because of the immediate job creation impact in El Paso, [and the] building is located in a difficult area as it is surrounded mainly by residential developments with very little commercial support,” Sergio Tinajero of ELP Real Estate Group said. “Property has seen various use changes and, through the years, several tenants have failed to maintain its operation there, making it a challenging property.”
