CoStar Economic Update: UK economic growth flatlined prior to coronavirus outbreak

GDP growth remained stagnant in the three months to January 2020, according to the latest ONS figures, with the economy showing no momentum as the coronavirus outbreak intensifies

The latest ONS data release offers little cause for optimism ahead of what will surely be a difficult few months for the UK economy. GDP growth was flat in January 2020, following a 0.3% uptick in December and a 0.3% fall in November. The rolling three-month outturn thus remained at zero (see chart).
