A real estate vehicle ultimately owned by Danish healthcare billionaire Niels Peter Louis-Hansen has bought 1 Savile Row, the historic home of luxury menswear retailer Gieves & Hawkes in London, from Hong Kong investor Wing Tai for £31 million.

In an announcement on the Hong Kong exchange, Wing Tai said its subsidiary New Ego had sold the freehold in the office and retail block to NPLH SVR, an England and Wales-incorporated vehicle whose ultimate beneficial owner is Louis-Hansen. The Dane is deputy chairman and owner of a major stake in Danish multinational medical device company Coloplast, which his father founded.

The building is in the heart of London's famous bespoke tailoring street and comprises 14,000 square feet of offices and retail. The military and court tailors, Gieves & Hawkes, is in the process of a major refurbishment of what has been its home since 1913. Prior to that the Grade II-listed mansion was the home of the Royal Geographic Society.

Wing Tai said the sale represents a "good opportunity for the company to realise its investment at a reasonable price".

The Hong Kong investor has been pursuing select London disposals. In January CoStar News revealed that it had sold 35 Berkeley Square to real estate vehicle Berkeley Square Holdings.

The 7,900-square-foot Grade II-listed office was bought for £26.25 million. Wing Tai said the property had been valued at £13.5 million as of 31 December 2025. It bought it for £19.55 million and a 2.5% yield in 2015. The building is a neighbour of Blackstone's new London headquarters, which is under construction.
