MIAT Buys 126,000-SF Flex in Canton

Group To Convert Former La-Z-Boy Facility Into Aviation School

The Michigan Institute of Aviation & Technology puchased the 126,000-square-foot former La-Z-Boy flex building at 2955 Haggerty Road in Canton, MI, from Paul Opfermann. The sale price was not reported. The site will become a vocational school specializing in turbine engine technology. In total, this will be an $8.9 million project for the buyer.
