Atlanta's commercial interior design community knows how to have fun, and the group did just that last week at a celebration near Truist Field, according to Sabrina Seoyun Bae.

Bae, an architecture and design market manager at commercial furniture company Teknion, joined friends, clients and colleagues at the International Interior Design Association's Best of the Best Awards held at the Coca-Cola Roxy in suburban Cobb County. IIDA, a professional networking and educational association, has more than 13,000 members and 30 chapters across the globe. IIDA Georgia said it has 425 members.

Vivien Chen (HOK)

"Many awesome projects" were honored, Bae said in a direct message on Instagram. Vivien Chen of architecture firm HOK won the 2024 Designer of the Year award. ASD|SKY won the Best of the Best Award for its work designing the interior of Nami restaurant. Cooper Carry's interior studio won best multifamily design for its Solis Sugar Hill for its work inside the apartment complex.

Bae went to the event with Teknion colleagues Chrissy Smith and Tricia Erickson, Tracy Tse of HOK and Connor Austin of Officeworks.

A DJ spun tunes at the post-party dance that capped the evening. "It was a fun night," Bae said.
