Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based real estate development firm Lloyd Companies launched Lloyd Residential Property Management last year, and one of its first projects was The Pitch, a 66-unit apartment complex in Waukee, Iowa.
The complex, located about 15 miles outside of Des Moines, includes a clubhouse and community room, 24/7 fitness center, pool and dog park. For its modern, innovative design, sustainability practices and community-centric elements, it was selected as the multifamily development of the year for Des Moines by CoStar's Impact Awards, as judged by real estate professionals familiar with the market.
Lloyd Companies now has an office in Des Moines, but with The Pitch, it entered a new market, overcame tight deadlines and development hurdles, according to a CoStar Impact Awards nomination.
About the Project: Lloyd Companies, a property management and ownership group new to Iowa, developed the 66-unit apartment complex The Pitch in Waukee, about 15 miles outside of Des Moines.
