Albertsons Closing 11 Stores in Florida and Colorado

Stores set to Close in Orlando, Palm Beach, and More...

Boise, ID-based Albertsons LLC is in the process of closing 11 underperforming stores. Specifically, the grocery retailer is closing eight stores in Melbourne, Oviedo, Sanford, Loxahatchee, Lake Worth, Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Pembroke Pines, FL; as well as three stores in Centennial, Denver and Littleton, Colorado. Reportedly, the company said an out-of-state buyer is acquiring the three Colorado stores. Additionally, Albertsons is selling its 1 million-square-foot distribution center in Plant City, Florida to Grand Rapids, MI-based Gordon Food Service and will lease back a portion of the facility.
