CBRE promotes three to pursue property management business

CBRE has made three regional and operational leadership appointments to expand its property management services nationwide. Tom Lloyd is now the property management lead for CBRE’s Americas East region, and Kim Berg now leads the division’s America's West practice. The Dallas-based brokerage also promoted Kristi Rankin to head of U.S. property management operations.

A 28-year industry veteran, Lloyd previously served as CBRE’s senior managing director of investor services in New York. Before that, he worked as a senior director at Tishman Speyer. Berg has nearly 20 years of industry work, previously having served as CBRE’s senior managing director of property management in the Pacific Northwest. She worked as a senior director with Cushman & Wakefield earlier in her career. Rankin formerly served as managing director for CBRE’s property management business in Chicago, and before that, she served as chief operating officer of IRC Retail Centers. 

Developer CenterPoint taps new CEO amid expansion

Jim Clewlow will take the helm as CEO of CenterPoint Properties effective July 1, the Oak Brook, Illinois-based development firm said. Clewlow, the company’s current chief operating officer, will succeed Bob Chapman, who is retiring from the CEO post after more than 10 years with the firm. Clewlow has been with CenterPoint for nearly 30 years, serving initially as vice president of acquisitions, development and leasing, after working as a broker at CBRE for 11 years.

Since then, he has served as CenterPoint’s senior vice president of investment and joined the executive committee before becoming chief operating officer in 2023. Founded in 1993, CenterPoint acquires, develops and manages primarily industrial properties. It oversees a national portfolio of more than 300 properties spanning nearly 63 million square feet. It now operates seven regional offices in California, Florida, New Jersey and Texas.

Vistula broadens presence in residential development

Vistula Management promoted Selena Vives to the position of CEO, succeeding John Kiely, who recently retired, the Toledo, Ohio-based residential property management and development firm said. Vives previously served as chief operating officer of the company that has been expanding its presence in the affordable and market-rate housing categories.

Founded in 1979, Vistula has developed more than 1,000 housing units, valued at more than $100 million, including single-family and multifamily projects. It currently manages about 1,900 residential units within 24 projects throughout Ohio.

PEG Cos. seeks to widen institutional services

Property investment firm PEG Cos. appointed Russ Romero as managing director and head of institutional solutions, the Provo, Utah-based company said.

Romero will lead PEG’s newly formed group geared to institutional investors, PEG said, as the company seeks to broaden its capital-raising efforts. The 20-year industry veteran held prior senior positions at Oaktree Capital Management and CIM Group, after beginning his career at Western Asset Management Co.

Founded in 2003, PEG owns, operates and develops hospitality, multifamily and other types of build-to-rent properties. It has nearly $2 billion in assets under management in the U.S. and Canada.

Regency targets retail portfolio growth

Regency Commercial Associates, a division of retail-focused Regency Properties, promoted Jamie Edmonson to the position of senior vice president and chief operating officer. Edmonson, who previously served as vice president of leasing at Regency Commercial, now leads its property management, leasing and construction geared to the company’s retail center portfolio, the Evansville, Indiana-based company said.

Edmonson has more than 23 years of real estate experience and previously led store operations at Hibbett Sports.

Founded in 1949, Regency Properties acquires, renovates and manages shopping centers in small and mid-sized communities. Its current portfolio includes 6.3 million square feet in 19 states.
