Gerald Eve, a Newmark company, has bolstered its commercial valuation team with the recruitment of George Chiverton from Knight Frank.
Chiverton becomes a senior associate in the commercial valuation team at Gerald Eve. It describes him as experienced in valuing high-profile assets across a variety of sectors including retail, leisure and industrial units across the UK.
In addition to spending circa seven years at Knight Frank, where he was valuation and advisory associate, Chiverton has also worked at LSH. He spent around four years with the firm and before that was a trainee surveyor at Savills.
Gerald Eve said the hire shows its "commitment to providing quality valuation advice", with the company hiring experienced agent Charles Spicer as its national head industrial and logistics agency team earlier this year.
Spicer said in an interview with CoStar News that Newmark, which completed its acquisition of UK brokerage Gerald Eve last year, was looking to "supercharge the business" by growing its personnel, revenue and profit.
Michael Riordan, partner and head of commercial valuation at Gerald Eve, said in a statement: "George has a proven track record in high value valuation work across London and the South East.
"His appointment will further strengthen our valuation capabilities helping us to deliver on growth ambitions for Gerald Eve and our clients."
