Dallas-Fort Worth’s retail pipeline sees a major comeback in new construction

The current pipeline of retail construction in Dallas-Fort Worth is comfortably around 7.3 million square feet by total square footage under development, some of the highest levels observed since 2017. By the end of the year, the metropolitan area is on track to complete 5.9 million square feet of retail space. The subsequent year is poised to maintain this momentum, with an estimated 5.6 million square feet in the works.
