The sprawling Brightwood-Fort Totten area in Washington, D.C., has attracted much multifamily developer interest in recent years. Even those familiar with the Washington market may be surprised that of all the different areas across the region that CoStar tracks, Brightwood-Fort Totten has added the third most multifamily units in the last three years, behind only the H Street-NoMa and Southwest-Navy Yard areas.
