Downtown has reprieve to absorb new inventory

Despite the Federal Reserve’s decision to cut interest rates in September, obtaining construction financing remains an obstacle for proposed hotels to break ground. This obstacle has defined the hotel development space over the past couple of years, resulting in a significant number of rooms in the final planning stage of the pipeline while limiting the number of hotel rooms under construction.
