The Magis Puppy Design Challenge involved decorating life-sized plastic model puppies in creative ways. Designs included one based on Atlanta Braves mascot Blooper and an "Olym-Pup" that commemorated the 1996 Summer Olympics that Atlanta hosted.

The event's auction raised more than $62,000 for the Sandy Springs, Georgia, nonprofit group that provides counseling, psychotherapy and support for people of all ages. This year's auction had the theme of "Atlanta Through the Decades" and topped last year's fundraising total, JLL spokesperson Allie Cyr said in an email.

Several architecture and design firms came participated in the "friendly competition to design an Atlanta-themed Magis Puppy for the auction," Cyr said. Magis is an Italian design company known for its creative and high-tech furniture and accessories found in offices, homes and outdoors.
