Consumers remain resilient as retail sales edge higher in October

U.S. consumers remained resilient in October and increased spending at retail and food service establishments by 0.4% in October per data released by the U.S. Census Bureau. And in another sign of the retail sales durability, September’s growth rate was revised up from 0.4% to 0.8%, while year-over-year retail sales increased 2.8%.
