One of the largest community colleges in the North Carolina’s Research Triangle closed on more than 100 acres of land, where school officials plan to develop a tech-focused community college campus. The deal comes amid a time of deep uncertainty for public schools and higher education systems, as the coronavirus pandemic continues to redefine how schools can effectively service students while still staying fiscally afloat.
