Where the most new industrial space has been added in Montreal over the past few years is something of a tale of two cities. Established, densely populated on-island locations increased the amount of industrial space by just 1% between 2020 and 2024. Meanwhile, emerging offshore locations, such as Laval, the North Shore or Rive-Nord, and the South Shore or Rive-Sud, added new industrial space at a much higher rate.
