Houston Office Leasing Remains Elevated Above Historic Trends

Total office leasing activity in Houston tallied 8.8 million square feet during the first half of 2024, slightly below the 9.1 million square feet recorded during the same period last year, but still above the average of 7 million square feet leased during the five-year period between 2015 and 2019. We expect the office leasing volume estimate will likely rise as CoStar continues to capture recently signed deals.
