Before 2020, the top 25 largest hotel markets in the U.S. had always recorded average daily rates, or ADRs, that were higher midweek than on weekends. This trend has reversed over the last four years. However, the weekend rate premium is decelerating and has dropped from $20 in 2021 to $6 this year.
