Kaufman & Broad recently announced the creation of a real estate company jointly owned with Banque des Territoires. The aim of this SCI is to acquire student residences on a buy-to-let basis, to be operated by the development group's subsidiary, Neoresid. Nordine Hachemi 's stated aim: "To offer institutional investors portfolios of student residences that have already been built and are in operation, and that meet their investment objectives for this asset class".
