Hotel property insurance costs per available room vary widely by state but are rapidly increasing across the board

Hotel property insurance cost around $495 per available room in 2019; through August of this year, the cost had increased by almost $200 to around $683. And if recent natural disasters and related insurance claims are a guide, the cost increases are far from over. In the aftermath of the two hurricanes that hit Florida and the East Coast over the last two months, property insurance costs are likely to increase further.
