Strong demand not enough to offset Reno, Nevada, rent decreases

Excess supply still to blame

The multifamily vacancy rate is 9%, more than 300 basis points above the 10-year average in Reno, Nevada. Ongoing construction completions have offset most of the strong demand totals posted throughout 2024. Excess supply has led to a 30 basis point decrease in rents after falling by 105 basis points in October.
