Massive Bridge-Bonaventure Redevelopment on Ice Until Province Commits to New Transit Station

The city of Montreal has issued its long-awaited master plan for the proposed redevelopment of the 5 million-square-foot area south of downtown known as Bridge-Bonaventure. However, the milestone has been overshadowed by an announcement that the city will not move forward with the project unless the province agrees to build a REM transit station in the area.
