US Hotel Average Daily Rates Continue To Rise for Group Travelers

Rates Plateau for Individuals, Groups Occupying Less Than 10 Rooms

The ongoing recovery of conventions, tradeshows and other group meetings is lifting hotel average daily rates, or ADR, to new highs. Year to date through August, ADR for group business was up 7% to $242, a new record. The group segment is defined as 10 or more rooms per night, sold pursuant to a signed agreement and a negotiated room rate.
