Latest Jobs Report Shows Most Losses in Palm Beach Since Early Pandemic

Trade, Transportation and Utilities Sector Accounts for More Than 60% of Losses

South Florida's Palm Beach County posted considerable job losses in January for the first time since early in the pandemic, according to recently released data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The county lost nearly 5,000 jobs in the month, and in the few sectors that did not lose jobs, growth was only marginally positive.
