No, your eyes have not deceived you. The Hotel News Now website got a facelift.
While things might look different, let us assure you our award-winning content has not changed. We’re simply presenting it in a smarter, faster, more intuitive way.
That said, change still can be jarring. Let us help you through it by touching on the high points:
1. New look, same great content.
HNN still features the same great content you’ve come to expect. That includes more original reporting than ever, thanks to a collaborative effort between the editorial team in the home office of Rocky River, Ohio; our roving European reporter, Terence Baker, based in London; and a network of freelancers and foreign correspondents the world over.
Also accessible is our unmatched trove of hotel performance data from STR, our parent company. The best place to find it is the new “Data Dashboard” category, which also houses STR Data Presentations.

You can find all that and more—including the more than 17,000 articles in our archives.
(Oh, and your account settings and newsletter subscriptions stay the same, too.)
2. We’re more responsive than ever.
Access HNN from your desktop, laptop, tablet, phablet, phone—it doesn’t matter. The website rearranges itself to present the optimal viewing experience regardless of device. That’s called “responsive design.” It means our go-to content now goes with you anywhere.

3. More content, less clicks.
Finished with one article? Just keep scrolling, and we’ll load the next one automatically for you. We call it “continuous scroll.” You can call it a time-saver that allows you to quickly scroll through the most important news of the day without ever having to tap or click.
(Try it by scrolling to the bottom of this article … and beyond!)
4. Streamlined navigation.
Our old site was a tangled web of categories and subcategories that created confusion internally, let alone among our readers. Now our categories are straightforward and simple, and they all carry equal weight.
We threw a few of the most popular right there in the toolbar.

For all the rest, simply click the drop-down menu icon.

5. Welcome back, Hotel Stock Index!
Scroll down the home page, and you’ll see the return of the Baird/STR Hotel Stock Index. The site ventured out on its own under a previous redesign; now we’ve brought it back aboard the mothership for better integration with our other content.
Play around with the chart from the home page, or take a deeper dive by visiting the Hotel Stock Index page itself. There you’ll see in one glance all the vital hotel industry stock information that keeps Wall Street churning.
