Transwestern boosts sustainability offerings
Ravi Bajaj joined Transwestern Real Estate Services as a manager of sustainability and environmental, social and governance practices, as the brokerage plans to expand its offerings in the ESG categories. In his new role, Bajaj will outline strategies and policies to engage stakeholders, TRES said. He previously worked as founding principal of Citadel EHS’s sustainability and ESG practices. He holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental systems from the University of California San Diego, where he teaches about green buildings and ESG practices. Bajaj also serves as a board member for the U.S. Green Building Council in California.
CBRE seeks to grow Atlanta occupier services
CBRE named Betts Ervin as a managing director of occupier services for the Atlanta region. Her new role centers on aiding the brokerage’s efforts to expand its leasing and consulting services geared to office, industrial and retail tenants, CBRE said. Ervin joined CBRE in 2018 as sales manager in the Atlanta office and she was promoted to sales director in 2021. Ervin "is a key player in growing our local market share," said John Ferguson, president of Atlanta advisory services at CBRE, in a statement. Ervin is a graduate of the University of Georgia and a member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, where she will serve on the board of directors in 2025. She is also a member of the Atlanta chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women, or CREW, Network.
Berkadia expands Denver investment sales team
Berkadia added Robert Bratley as a managing director and Jack Sanders as director for its investment sales service operations in Denver. Both served most recently with JLL’s Denver capital markets team. At Berkadia, they will report to Mike Miner, the firm's co-head of investment sales and production operations, the brokerage said. Bratley has completed nearly $1 billion in transactions over the past 15 years and specializes in mid-market multifamily investment advisory. He is a graduate of Colorado State University. Ten-year veteran Sanders has handled $150 million in multifamily transactions and worked earlier in equity raising and industrial brokerage. He is a graduate of University of Colorado Boulder.
Charter Realty bolsters Boston retail services
Jeff Arsenault was hired as executive vice president at Charter Realty, where he will focus on retail advisory services throughout Boston and New England while also collaborating with colleagues across North America to serve the firm’s national clients, the brokerage said. A 30-year industry veteran, Arsenault previously served as principal at Avison Young and as a vice president at CBRE. He has negotiated retail deals for landlords and tenants such as Regency Centers, Kimco, Boston Properties, Walgreens, Orangetheory Fitness and X-Golf America. The brokerage said his expertise includes project leasing, planning and merchandising on behalf of retailers and restaurants.
RockFarmer taps new capital markets leader
David Krantz joined development and investment firm RockFarmer Properties as head of capital markets as the New York-based company looks to expand its national investment platform. The company said Krantz, with more than 20 years of industry experience, will focus on growing the firm’s institutional investor clientele and services geared to structuring and negotiating portfolio debt. RockFarmer is expanding services in New York and Sun Belt states, targeting distressed assets with a focus on multifamily, office, retail and mixed-use properties. Krantz most recently served as managing director and head of real estate at Mirae Asset Securities, with prior senior roles at Savills, CBRE and The Praedium Group. He has handled transactions exceeding $18.5 billion across multiple investment categories.
