Apartment Rent Growth in California Capital Continues to Slide

Market Stat: Annual Gains in Sacramento Sit Below 4% for the First Time in Five Years

Renters in metropolitan Sacramento have felt some of the nation’s strongest apartment rent hikes this decade, but that trend continued to reverse in 2019’s third quarter. Annual rent growth came in at 3.4%, a decline of more than 100 basis points compared to the second quarter. Moreover, this was the third consecutive quarter trailing 12-month gains have fallen.
