Retail jobs fuel monthly employment gains in San Diego

Construction sector leads job losses

San Diego’s unemployment edged down to 4.6% in November from a revised 4.7% in October, according to the latest jobs report released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That was 30 basis points higher than 12 months ago, although it matched the lowest unemployment rate in four months. It was also below California’s statewide rate of 5.3%.
