GLOBAL REPORT—According to the U.S. Census, about 328 million people inhabit the United States in 2018.

Meanwhile, the combined global memberships of loyalty programs reported at five hotel companies in 2018 surpass that figure by nearly 50 million. Factor in membership growth that, all told, averages about 4 million members a month, and it’s clear to see the impact of and importance placed on loyalty in the hotel industry.
