On May 8, Miami, Florida, hosted the inaugural Miami Grand Prix, the first race for the city under a 10-year contract with Formula One. The event, the fifth round of the 2022 Formula One World Championship, provided a strong lift for the average daily rate in Miami’s hotels, but the overall impact of the race didn’t match some other events held earlier in the year.
