VIDEO: IWG Chief Mark Dixon Eyes Massive Global Expansion Plans

CoStar News and Business Immo Talk to Founder of World's Largest Flexible Office Occupier

CoStar News's United Kingdom and Europe managing editor Paul Norman and Luc-Etienne Rouillard Lafond, editor-in-chief, print, at sister title Business Immo in France caught up with Mark Dixon, the chief executive and founder of IWG, the world's largest flexible offices provider, to discuss his major expansion plans for the company.

Dixon said the group plans to open at least another 850 centres in 2024, and is eyeing growth of the business in France from 200 centres to 2,000 in the coming years. He said record revenues reported last week were created by a massive change in the workplace and offices, being driven by technology.

He also discussed his focus on new management agreements and partnerships such as IWG's tie up with asset management firm Perial, where IWG will open flex spaces in the latter's buildings. The company's move to dollars and putting rival coworking group WeWork in perspective were also on the agenda.
